It's been a while since my last post, been busy at work, but have persevered every day to get my runs in to feed the soul!! I wanted to share this quote from Haruki Murakami that is so true and I believe it is the main reason I enjoy running.... To live life to the fullest!! "People sometimes sneer at those who run everyday, claiming they'll go to any length to live longer, but don't do anything about it. Most runners run not because they want to live longer, even though for some that maybe the case, it is they want to live life to the fullest. If you're going to while away the years, it is better to live them with clear goals and fully alive, then in a fog, and I believe running helps you achieve that.

Runners motor

My running motor is in top notch form,
my spark plugs fire, ignite the core,
releasing the fuel, I need, to reach top gear,
zoom zoom, I go shifting for more,
until the pace is more, zoom zoom,
the pistons within my legs are fueled and wanting more,
giving me power to reach the finish even more.

Today's 4.30 miles teased me in distance. Have been keeping my miles low, and currently not training for anything as of yet, but will begin next month to get ready for my race in December. That will kick off my racing season, with following races in April, June, and Oct, maybe more but right now this is the planned schedule. I find it interesting out running, that no matter how you feel when you begin your run, you transform yourself during the run, giving it your all. Knowing that, the effort you put in will give back twice fold. Don't succumb to the negative chatter that creeps in your head, battle it with all you've got to silence it. Some days are easier than others, if it were easy everyday, there would be no challenge, challenge yourself, and accept the results. Tomorrow is a new day!!

Running allows you to transcend and overcome that fear of letting go and become anew with each step and stride you make. As the miles grow day after day, I'm shedding a layer away by throwing myself in all the way to experience the run I'm in completely, renewing my spirit and become better than i was yesterday.

It shows  you how to become a rhythmic breather to increase lung volume, improves your awareness and control during run, and helps in the prevention of injury.
